Mechanical Projects Manager.

Mechanical Projects Manager role has arisen within our expanding organisation.

1. Project Planning & Execution

  • Define project scope, schedule, and milestones
  • Develop work plans for mechanical systems
  • Coordinate with civil, electrical, and architectural teams
  1. Technical Oversight
  • Review mechanical designs, drawings, and specifications
  • Ensure compliance with codes, standards, and client requirements
  • Solve technical issues during design and construction
  1. Cost & Budget Management
  • Prepare cost estimates and BOQs
  • Track budgets, control costs, approve invoices and change orders
  • Manage procurement of mechanical equipment and materials
  1. Team & Contractor Management
  • Lead mechanical engineers, supervisors, and site teams
  • Coordinate subcontractors and vendors
  • Assign tasks and monitor performance
  1. Schedule & Risk Management
  • Monitor project timelines and progress
  • Identify risks (technical, safety, supply chain) and mitigate them
  • Manage delays, scope changes, and resource constraints
  1. Quality & Safety Control
  • Ensure installations meet quality standards and specs
  • Enforce safety procedures on site
  • Conduct inspections, testing, and commissioning
  1. Client & Stakeholder Communication
  • Act as main point of contact for mechanical scope
  • Attend progress meetings and report status
  • Handle client concerns and approvals

 

Requirements:

  • Excel: Advanced formulas, PivotTables, Charts, Power Query, Macros (VBA).
  • IT Tools: Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Zoom, Slack, SharePoint.
  • Digital Filing Systems: OneDrive, Dropbox, Google Drive, Device-Magic.
  • Communication Tools: Phone, Outlook, Teams, Zoom.
  • Problem Solving: Troubleshoot minor issues efficiently.
  • Attention to Detail: Critical when working with large datasets or financial reports.
  • Experience: Knowledge within the Mechanical & construction industries would be an advantage.
  • The successful candidate should have strong IT skills especially in Microsoft Office Suite, should have the ability to communicate clearly + accurately and should have the ability for absolute attention to detail.
